Experimental acoustic characterization of phase-synchronized propellers

Acoustic measurements were performed in an aeroacoustic wind tunnel with a distributed electric propulsion (DEP) system. These tests involved adjusting relative propeller phase angles from 0° to 90° in increments of 15°. A range of advance ratios (J = 0 − 0.47) were investigated at a fixed propeller rotation speed of 5000 rpm. The investigation explored the impact on noise directivity and frequency characteristics.
